As if truly keeping the population safe, or rather, in tune, KPop Demon Hunters has surfaced not only as a saviour, but as a ruler. Freshly crowned in 2026, Netflix now has its most-streamed title of the last three years, courtesy of it.

In 2025, Netflix made its own pitch on the phenomenon of K-Pop, as usual, with a twisting mash of other genres. It was the fantasy-action film, KPop Demon Hunters, that this pitch resulted in.

This animated film has broken not only streaming records, but musical and international records as well. As of late January 2026, this movie stands as the most-watched title across three years, 2023, 2024, and 2025. With a 1-hour, 40-minute runtime, it has accumulated about 518,300,000 total views, as per What On Netflix.

The film also amassed 863,700,000 hours of viewing, including the first and second halves of 2025, as per What's On Netflix. These numbers are followed by 1 hour, 38 minutes long, The Boss Baby, with 286,200,000 views.

KPop Demon Hunters has, in January 2026, alone racked up more than just views under its belt.

KPop Demon Hunters' success with 2026

Right after release, in June 2025, the animated musical dominated global charts, breaking records for soundtrack sales. With the Award Season following this release, KPop Demon Hunters has shone as bright as any cinematic masterpiece in 2026.

So far, the Netflix original has received the award for Best Animated Feature at the 31st Critics' Choice Awards. The Golden Globes saw the movie off with the Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for 'Golden' as well.

In addition, an Oscar nomination for the Best Original Song and Best Animates Feature has only cemented KPop Demon Hunters' groundbreaking ascension. With almost all of 2026 left, what the movie may achieve next can only be anticipated.
