Netflix’s Most Expensive Flick Ft. Millie Bobby Brown Lands Two Worst Razzie Award Nominations

Jan 12, 2026, 8:30 PM CUT

It seems Stranger Things did not buy Millie Bobby Brown the ticket to staying away from getting raspberries blown. Forgotten with the hype of the horror show's finale, one of her 2025 nosedives has returned with a Razzie nomination.

The Electric State had been Anthony Russo and Joe Russo's $270 million attempt at adapting Simon Stålenhag's book of the same name. Adapted, they may have, but the audience does not share their vision of what a good movie is.

The Millie Bobby Brown starring 2025 movie has been nominated for the Worst Picture by the Golden Raspberry Awards. Moreover, the Russo brothers have also been nominated for a Worst Director award, as per World of Reel.

Movies Hurry Up Tomorrow, In the Lost Lands, Snow White, and War of the Worlds contend with The Electric State in the Worst Picture category. Paul W.S. Anderson, Rich Lee, Trey Edward Shults, and Marc Webb are in the Worst Director category, as per World of Reel's reporting of the news.

The Razzie Awards, on the other hand, are anything but prestigious.

The concept of the Razzie Awards

The Academy Awards have existed for a total of 96 years, having commenced in 1929. The Razzie Awards commenced 45 years ago, making them neither too much nor too little seasoned.

The Razzie Awards are short for the Golden Raspberry Awards. It started as a parody of prestige, by UCLA film graduates and industry veterans John J. B. Wilson, and Mo Murphy.

The Razzie Awards continue to spill over the prestige offered by other accolades. Netflix's expensive The Electric State now stands as an embellishment to these Awards.
