Not every case comes to a close in one lifetime, but the ones on Netflix. Regardless of how stapled it had become, this particular case has found itself left with less than ten days on the streamer.
The law drama blueprint, Suits, had bid its final episode in 2019. Years later, Netflix is preparing to bid it farewell. The New York-set TV series is leaving the streaming platform come January 1, 2026.
The show became a Netflix regular as recently as mid-2023. Now, the nine-season-long legal drama is left with nine days to be watched.
Suits, helmed by Aaron Korsh, has reached a fan-favorite position over the years. As of 2025, it has a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, along with praises for its strong characters.
Even though the show will step down from Netflix, there was a time it refused to be forgotten after only nine seasons.
The Suits' spin-off that lived on after the ninth season
An inter-state version of the show, literally called Suits LA, had taken its chance after the original's finale. Once again created by Aaron Korsh, this iteration of Suits has exclusively aired on NBC in 2023.
The spin-off itself focuses on a New York City runaway federal prosecutor, who shifts pace as an entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles. Despite selling Ted Black, the new lawyer, to have Mike Ross-like secrets to uncover, the show was cancelled in May 2025 after one season.
Worthy spin-off or not, Suits LA never made it to Netflix. As per the seasonal cleaning, the original Suits itself will bid the platform goodbye, come the new year.
