As if a brand-new album was not enough, Niall Horan may already have another surprise in store for fans. While celebrating the arrival of 'Dinner Party', the singer hinted that an Australian return could be just around the corner, sending excitement soaring among audiences Down Under. And judging by his latest comments, the wait for his next visit may not be much longer.

Recently, speaking on Rolling Stone AU/NZ‘s Rolling Stone Uncut podcast, Niall Horan gave Australian fans a reason to start paying attention. While discussing his newly released album, 'Dinner Party', the singer revealed that he expects to be back Down Under “early next year,” teasing that plans are already taking shape behind the scenes. Although dates and venues remain under wraps, the update marks Horan’s strongest hint yet that an Australian tour could be on the way following his successful The Show Live on Tour run in 2024.

“I’ll be down early next year for sure. We haven’t got to the announcement part of it yet, but there’s no doubt I’ll be down, [and] I can’t wait.” Horan told the publication.

The excitement surrounding 'Dinner Party' is hardly surprising given Horan’s track record as a solo artist. The singer made history when Flicker debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017, becoming the first One Direction member to achieve the feat with a solo release. Follow-up records Heartbreak Weather and The Show further cemented his success, while hits such as ‘Slow Hands’, ‘This Town’, ‘Nice to Meet Ya’, ‘Heaven’, and ‘Meltdown’ helped transform him from boy-band favourite into a global solo star.

And for fans eager to experience the new album live, Niall Horan may already be setting the table.

Niall Horan’s Dinner Party era is just getting started

The singer has already mapped out the first major leg of the Dinner Party Live On Tour, which kicks off on September 22 in Birmingham before heading across the United Kingdom and Europe. The run includes stops at London’s The O2, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin, alongside a special four-night homecoming stint at Dublin’s 3Arena. British singer-songwriter Flowerovlove will join as the opening act, while a portion of ticket sales from the UK dates will be donated to the LIVE Trust in support of grassroots music venues. Horan has also hinted that North America and Australia could be next in 2027, making his recent tour tease even more significant.

Released on June 5, 'Dinner Party' marks Horan’s fourth studio album and sees the singer embrace a more mature, folk-inspired sound. At the heart of the record is its title track, inspired by a real-life dinner party where he first met his longtime partner, Amelia Woolley. The 12-track project blends romance, nostalgia, and personal storytelling through songs such as ‘Little More Time’, ‘Flowers’, and ‘Better Man’, while ‘End of an Era’ delivers an emotional tribute to late One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

With a new album, a world tour, and an Australian return seemingly on the horizon, Horan’s latest chapter appears to be gathering momentum fast.
