Paul Mescal is currently in the thick of promoting Chloe Zhao’s historical drama Hamnet, where he plays William Shakespeare. “Once I have finished promoting that, I hope nobody gets to see me until 2028 when I am doing the Beatles,” Mescal said. He added that this pause will allow both him and the public to take a well-needed break.

Paul Mescal will portray Paul McCartney in The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, a bold project directed by Sam Mendes. The series will explore the lives of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

Each film will focus on one band member, offering fresh perspectives on their rise to fame, creative genius, and personal struggles. All four films are set to premiere simultaneously on 7 April 2028. As Mescal plans a break, it feels like the perfect moment to reflect on his remarkable career.
