Kanye West is a 24-time Grammy-winning rapper, and his daughter is taking notes while walking on the same path. North West has taken an interest in writing songs that best translate her experience as a trendsetting Gen Alpha, and this time, her father approves.

On January 16, 2026, the 12-year old celerbrity kid shared a preview of her rap track titled 'Piercings on my hand', which she has deleted now. In a caption to the story, North West labelled it a "Ye version" of the track.

The prototype of the track included lyrics about getting banned from school and jibes thrown at questions about her popularity. The song is also a direct link to the finger piercings she revealed earlier in January 2026.

North West and her father stick together despite the differences expected over Instagram accounts.

On December 20, 2025, North West took over Instagram with her first-ever post. The picture was fashioned to be a Gen-Alpha trademark blurred capture.

The picture was also a showcase of North West's developing fashion sense that has divided the internet several times already. Kanye West's well-known, earlier disapproval of his kids having social media accounts was put up for debate as well.

However, the father-daughter duo seem to have made amends with North West's recent rap track on her Instagram stories. Perhaps the tween has chosen 2026 to be her musical gateway.
