The OG Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, who once ruled every girly dream with glitter, chaos, and pop-princess magic, has once again stormed back into the spotlight. After headlining the inaugural TikTok Tailgate at Super Bowl LV on February 7, 2021, the singer now finds her name circling one of entertainment’s most colossal stages all over again, with fans already spiralling over the possibility of her return. But will Miley Cyrus truly be ready to step back under those blinding lights?

While speaking to Variety on March 18, Miley Cyrus was asked whether she could ever see herself taking on the Super Bowl LXI stage after her name was pulled into last year’s rumor mill. In response, the singer made it clear that she could only imagine saying yes if the performance felt deeply personal, something shaped like her Hannahversary, where every song, every era, and every version of Cyrus gets its own moment under the lights.

"If I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was — taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is, I think I could find it in myself," Cyrus told Variety.

However, with her name already tied to speculation around the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show in 2027, Cyrus also admitted to Variety that the stage feels like “too much pressure,” given its massive scale, millions of viewers, and the weight of one of the world’s biggest stages.

"I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure," she said.

While Miley Cyrus has yet to confirm any official Super Bowl comeback, her upcoming Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special is already sending a fresh wave of nostalgia crashing through the fandom.

All about Hannah Montana’s nostalgic comeback

Behind the blonde wig and the Disney-fuelled chaos that once ruled an era, Hannah Montana is all set to strike a nostalgic chord once again with Miley Cyrus’ upcoming Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. Set to premiere on March 24, 2026 on Disney+ and Hulu, the retrospective lands exactly 20 years after the original pilot, Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?, first lit up Disney Channel in 2006.

As if the nostalgia storm was not fierce enough already, the special hits fans right in the heart with a surprise Selena Gomez cameo, as Alex Cooper helps pull off the moment. The retrospective also brings Billy Ray Cyrus back into Hannah Montana’s glittery orbit, while Cooper leads a deeply personal sit-down and Tish Cyrus-Purcell helps shape the project both on screen and behind the curtain. Dolly Parton’s presence also lingers over the special, as her advice helped spark the anniversary idea in the first place, turning the entire event into an even richer slice of Disney-pop mythology.

While Miley Cyrus’ Super Bowl LXI return in 2027 remains firmly unconfirmed, fans can still throw themselves back into the glitter-drenched, double-life fever dream of Hannah Montana with the singer’s absolutely unmissable 20th anniversary special.
