Richard Linklater and Ethan Hawke have a collaboration that has famously spanned almost the entirety of Hawke's career. First brought together with Before Sunrise, Hawke has claimed Linklater's best is yet to be seen, and it will be their tenth film made together.

"I have no doubt in saying it will be among the greatest films ever made," Hawke stated on TODAY about his upcoming film with the director. According to Hawke, the yet-to-be-revealed title has been on Linklater's radar since 1998.

Despite having his confidence questioned, Hawke remained staunch in his support and belief, according to TODAY. Along with his assurance, Hawke also revealed the film will finish production by 2027.

Hawke's confidence in Richard Linklater's craft comes with a long history between the muse and the maker.

Ethan Hawke's first collaboration with Richard Linklater is considered to be an era in itself. The Before trilogy is as hailed for Hawke and Linklater as it is for its one-of-a-kind existence.

The Before trilogy consists of Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight, released in 1995, 2004, and 2013, respectively. Boyhood, Waking Life, Tape, Fast Food Nation, The Newton Boys, and, most recently, Blue Moon are the rest of their collaborations.

Ethan Hawke's career only keeps unfolding under Richard Linklater's direction. With the mystery movie yet to be revealed, the anticipation for the tenth joint effort is more alive than ever.
