If there were an energy that Robert Pattinson and Zendaya have been radiating beyond their undeniable talent, it would be unapologetic, scene-stealing chaos. The two are currently promoting their film The Drama, bringing dramatic fun wherever they go, from Zendaya exposing Robert Pattinson as a pathological liar to sharing secrets like their clandestine marriages. Naturally, they had to bring the same chaotic energy to Oscars 2026 as well.

Robert Pattinson recounted the story on Jimmy Kimmel Live about how a tense backstage moment turned even more tense. Everything was fine until Zendaya pointed out a prominent vein on his forehead which was visibly pulsing. But before he could even react, they were called to the stage to present Best Director at the Oscars.

"Everything was fine & then Zendaya said to me just before we went on stage: ‘The vein in your forehead is really, really popping out right now’ and I was like ‘Wha-?’ Then they’re like ‘And go!," shared Pattinson. The anecdote added a deliciously chaotic twist to the duo’s surprise Academy Awards appearance.

The story adds yet another playful hint of the energy Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are bringing to the table. They may be a couple in The Drama, but their on-screen partnership is clearly not a one-time affair, considering the 70,000 projects the two have this year.

With The Drama film arriving on April 3, the duo will continue press conferences and red carpet appearances but that would be far from the last time fans will be seeing them in 2026.

Zendaya will return as Chani, grounded yet resolute, while Robert Pattinson will arrive as Scytale, a shapeshifter with questionable intentions. With so many shared moments in 2026, Robert Pattinson might finally stop getting flustered by Zendaya’s ill-improvised remarks.
