Awards season is usually about speeches, red carpets, and those nerve-wracking envelopes that decide who takes home Hollywood’s biggest prize. But behind the glamour and competition, there is another tradition that has quietly become almost as talked about as the awards themselves, the luxurious Oscar gift bags. This year that tradition comes with a huge price tag and a customizable prenuptial agreement.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the famous Oscar nominee gift bag has reached a staggering value of about $350,000. Among the biggest perks is an “iconic” super-villa stay in Ibiza for up to 16 guests, along with a luxury Arctic villa getaway where nominees can watch the Northern Lights. There is also a ten-day restorative reset in Sri Lanka and a seven-day wellness retreat.
Then come the beauty and lifestyle upgrades. Nominees can expect facial rejuvenation treatments, a sculpt-and-lift facial, a smile makeover package, and even an elite body-sculpting liposuction experience from a leading plastic surgeon. On the practical side, the bag includes Kabuki-inspired Japanese luggage sets, a luxury vegan handbag, and even ultra-secure cryptocurrency storage.
And of course, it would not be a Hollywood gift bag without a few quirky indulgences. There is a tea-tasting chest, a gourmet movie-night maple gift box, fountain pens, edible gold crystals, and even a holistic portrait photography session.
While the gift bag is packed with over-the-top surprises, this year’s nominees include stars like Emma Stone, who are already making history.
Emma Stone makes Oscar history
At just thirty-seven, Emma Stone has added another remarkable chapter to her awards-season story. With dual nominations for Bugonia—Best Actress and Best Picture as a producer, Stone has now reached 7 Oscar nominations, making her the youngest woman ever to hit that mark. In doing so, she surpasses Meryl Streep, who was 38 when she reached the same milestone back in 1988.
She is also the only actress to earn acting and producing nominations for the same film twice. The streak has only strengthened her reputation among fans as one of the defining performers of her generation.
Whether she takes home another Oscar or not, Stone will still walk away with one of Hollywood’s most extravagant consolation prizes. After all, even nominees leave the ceremony with that infamous three hundred fifty thousand dollar gift bag waiting in the wings.
