Pedro Pascal has lavished his co-star and sci-fi legend Sigourney Weaver with words of admiration in a recent interview. The Mandalorian & Grogu is about to warp its way to the movie theaters soon, and the cast and crew are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. The main cast and the director of the film, Jon Favreau, have been on a globetrotting mission to spread the word about their new Star Wars venture. 

Keeping up with that same effort, Pedro Pascal and Jon Favreau ended up in a sitting with Etalk where they discussed all things The Mandalorian & Grogu. During their talk, the interviewer asked about Pascal’s experience of working with the sci-fi queen and her overall energy around the set. 

"For me, Sigourney Weaver is an icon, a cross-genre icon. An icon of comedy, an icon of science fiction, of action, and a masterful actor and an incredibly kind person," Pascal said about Weaver.

He also commended Jon Favreau for his casting choices, which are always well thought out and fit the story perfectly, and Sigourney Weaver’s casting in the movie is a fine example of this trait. He further added that the iconic actress is one of his biggest movie stars and was at the top of his bucket list of actors he would like to work with.

Throughout their promotional run, Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver have been gushing over their cute Force-sensitive co-star, Grogu. On various occasions, they seem to be talking affectionately about the CGI puppet and how they loved to share scenes with it. 

This interview was no different, as Grogu did come up as a subject, but it came in a very adorable way.

No Pedro Pascal interview stays Grogu-free for long

The interview started with the host reminding  Pedro Pascal about their last meeting and how she was pregnant at that time, and this was her first interview after that. She connects this to how he also has a baby in the movie, which is Grogu, and he is still in his baby phase, to which the actor agreed. She then noted that he snacks a lot in the film, just like her toddler does in real life, to which Pascal agreed once again.

The Mandalorian & Grogu is about to hit theaters worldwide on May 22 and will be the first major theatrical release in almost seven years. The last big release was Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which debuted globally on December 20, 2019. The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is supposed to be the missing link between two Star Wars trilogies, is ready to bring back the franchise in the theaters.
