With great royalty comes great threats against privacy. Prince Harry stands firm against these very threats as his first day with the Daily Mail at court commences.

The Associated Press has been accused of serious privacy breaches by personalities like Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and Sadie Frost. Prince Harry, too, has returned to court to attend the case against Associated Press.

His attendance occurred on Monday, January 19, 2026. The Duke of Sussex is also expected to bring forth evidence against the case on the coming Thursday, as per BBC's live reporting.

The allegations include the acquisition of unlawful news, flight information, and more, as per barrister David Sherborne via the BBC. Prince Harry has alleged 14 articles he claims report unlawfully acquired information, dated between 2001 and 2013.

The Prince, however, is not fighting a battle he is not well-versed in.

Prince Harry's fight against publishers

The ongoing trial with the Daily Mail publisher comes after Prince Harry's long run of allegations against publishers' privacy breaches. Previously, his tussle has been with Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers and Mirror Group Newspapers.

The previous cases had ended in compensation and apologies for Prince Harry. His allegations against the Daily Mail, however, are a third, and perhaps will finally strike with a team this time.
