As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes industries, the shift is no longer distant, it is already unfolding in real time. While Sandra Bullock has recently stepped into the conversation and Natasha Lyonne continues to explore its creative edge, the space is steadily opening up in Hollywood. And now, as the AI discourse widens, Reese Witherspoon appears determined to ensure women have a place within it.

Sharing the moment on social media, Witherspoon did not ease into the conversation; she cut straight to it, saying, “I think it’s time to learn about AI.”

She recalled being with a group of ten women at a book club and asking how many of them used AI, only three raised their hands, and when she pushed further on who truly understood it, just one remained. In that drop from three to one, the gap became impossible to ignore, leaving nearly 70% already trailing behind.

"How many of the three of you feel like you really know what you’re doing or they’re using it the right way?’ And there was only one person. So, if three out of 10 women are the only ones using AI, that means 70% of that group is not keeping up.” Witherspoon said.

Adding to that urgency, Witherspoon made it clear this is not something you can afford to ignore, if you miss the basics early, technology does not wait, it moves past you. She pushed for small, steady learning just to keep pace, especially as kids are already using it daily. Ending on a sharper note, she called for learning together and offered to share her own journey, making one thing clear, this moment cannot be delayed.

Meanwhile, the Oscar winner, Witherspoon, continues expanding her media empire, Hello Sunshine, alongside her growing Book Club presence.

With Big Little Lies Season 3 in development and continued work on The Morning Show Season 5, alongside her Book Club shaping reading trends month after month, Witherspoon’s 2026 slate moves beyond acting, positioning her firmly at the centre of both storytelling and strategy.
