Every Potterhead has dreamed of walking through the gates of Hogwarts at least once, and it seems Cedric Diggory himself, aka Robert Pattinson's daughter, might be the lucky one to do so. First spotted as the brave Hufflepuff champion in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Pattinson's Cedric proved himself a worthy Triwizard contender while competing alongside Harry Potter. However, as the actor prepares to step into another chapter with The Batman Part II, his recent adorable plan for his daughter has left Potterheads smiling from ear to ear.
During GQ's Summer 2026 cover interview, Pattinson shared a surprisingly magical detail about his daughter's future. While scouting schools ahead of filming The Batman: Part II in London, the actor came across one linked to the production base for HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series and immediately joked, "This is where you're going to go to school. To Hogwarts." He then admitted the idea might not be far-fetched, adding that it could "actually" end up becoming his daughter's first school.
“I was like, This is where you’re going to go to school. To Hogwarts. And I legitimately think that might actually be her first school.” Pattinson told GQ as part of the magazine's Summer 2026 cover story.
The interview itself centred around Pattinson's upcoming film The Odyssey, where he joins Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Christopher Nolan for one of 2026's biggest releases. In the mythological epic, Pattinson portrays Antinous, the arrogant and manipulative suitor who seeks to claim Odysseus' throne during his long absence from Ithaca. Adapted from Homer's legendary tale, the film follows Odysseus' journey home and is set to arrive in theatres on July 17, 2026.
While Hogwarts may be on his daughter's radar, Pattinson himself is preparing to return to a far darker world, Gotham City.
Robert Pattinson's Batman returns with a New Gotham mystery
The Batman: Part II has officially entered production, with Matt Reeves locking in an expanded cast and cameras rolling in the UK ahead of its October 1, 2027 release. Robert Pattinson recently revealed that filming includes a gruelling 11-week stretch of night shoots, while also teasing that Reeves and Mattson Tomlin's script takes "big swings" and feels "very, very different" from the first film.
Reeves has also assembled a massive ensemble cast for Batman's next chapter. Pattinson returns alongside Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell, while newcomers Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson join Gotham as Harvey and Gilda Dent. Early production teases have already confirmed a snow-covered Gotham City, with many fans pointing to The Long Halloween as a major inspiration. Rather than rushing Harvey Dent's transformation, the sequel reportedly explores his gradual psychological downfall, setting the stage for one of Batman's most tragic rivalries.
And while Pattinson prepares to return to Gotham in The Batman Part II, his latest Hogwarts-inspired parenting plan has unexpectedly given Potterheads a magical reason to smile
