The 2026 BAFTA TV Awards had another unforgettable moment. During his acceptance speech, actor Seth Rogen dedicated The Studio’s award for Best International Series to co-star Catherine O’Hara. As the Apple TV+ satire continued its impressive awards-season run, Rogen’s touching tribute swiftly became one of the ceremony’s most talked-about highlights. 

He spent some time in London to pay respect to his beloved co-star after winning one of the most prestigious trophies at the BAFTAs. The Studio star came to the stage and accepted the award for Best International Series for his hit satire. After a typically hilarious acceptance speech, he said it would be “remiss” not to recognize his beloved co-star in the series, who sadly passed away in January, 2026.

“It would be remiss of me not to mention Catherine O’Hara; she meant so much to us. I assume her work was as important to y’all over here as it was to us, so this is for Catherine,” he said, before dedicating the BAFTA award to O’Hara.  

O’Hara, who was nominated for an Emmy for her work in The Studio, played the character of Patty Leigh. She had done a hilarious, emotional role that had landed really well. Additionally, she also starred in Beetlejuice, Home Alone, A Mighty Wind, and Schitt’s Creek. 

Meanwhile, Rogen’s heartfelt BAFTA speech was not the first time he publicly reflected on the impact O'Hara had on him both professionally and personally.

Chatherine O’Hara won the female actor in a comedy series honor at the Actor Awards in March for her work as former studio head Patty Leigh. That night, Seth Rogen accepted the award on her behalf and gave a speech that brought much of the audience to tears.

“I’ve been given the sad honor of accepting this award on O’Hara’s behalf,” Rogen told the audience at the Shrine Auditorium in LA.

“I know she would have been honored to receive this award from her fellow performers, who I know she respected so much. She was such big fans of all of yours,” he added.  

His emotional BAFTA tribute highlighted how much he admires O’Hara and her work on The Studio. As the Apple TV+ satire continues its successful awards-season run, Rogen’s heartfelt words also served to remind audiences of O’Hara’s lasting impact in comedy and television. From Schitt’s Creek to The Studio, her performances continue to resonate with audiences and fellow performers alike.
