Netflix's farewell to the decade's most-watched show has left its longtime residents in thought. Until they resurface, part of the Stranger Things cast seems to be doing well enough.

Joe Keery, aka DJo, had made quite the musical impression with his 'End of Beginning's virality. While the song was a prime soundtrack for short-form content, Stranger Things' finale awakened some more dormant potential in the track.

Keery's track is from his 2022 album 'Decide'. After the horror show's celebrated close, the track has seen yet another surge in popularity. On cue, Keery has been propelled to No. 1 on the US iTunes chart for the first time.

After the finale, the track first climbed the Spotify Global chart to No.2. 'End of Beginning' has taken Keery from playing at Lollapalooza 2025 to crystallizing his music to a chart regular through virality.

Thriving off-screen and up the music charts is something Steve, on the other hand, did not get to experience.

As Stranger Things had been coming to a close, Joe Keery's Steve Harrington was teetering on the edge of survival. While the character is now safely immortalized, the dramatics behind his fate had not signaled the same.

Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer had gone to great lengths to spark debates on Steve's survival. The most telling sign being on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, as they had tipped Steve's Funko doll over the edge of the table.

Steve Harrington now lives safely in the aftermath of Stranger Things, and Joe Keery, in a flourish. As the actor settles into the throes of not being in Hawkins, his music echoes the nostalgia of growing up with it.
