Superman and Homelander’s Showdown Is a Battle of Equals, Yet Only One Prevails in the DC Universe

Homelander has finally come face-to-face with an opponent that almost mirrors him in both punches and colors. However, despite Superman's matching blows, a breakdown of the two superheroes' psyches actually weighs heavier on one side.
The DC Knockout comics have progressed into the Boss Battle event, following the Final Four's selection to fight Darkseid's Absolute regime. Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, and Joker emerged victorious. Superman is teleported to The Boys' Universe for DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1.
Faced with Homelander, Vought America's strongest there is, Superman's Boss Battle ended in what most would call a draw. However, Homelander is bound to have used maximum strength to defeat Superman. On the other hand, Superman's vow to never take a life skews the scales in his direction.
Homelander and Superman met each other with an equal number of blows. Superman is even shown to acknowledge their Heat Visions being of the same intensity. However, the DC superhero's well-known watering down of powers to protect life is a clear sign of who the winner could be, if unleashed, that is.
Other characters make cameo appearances in the issue, teasing possible multiverse encounters without full fights.
Who will fight DC K.O.'s Final Four?
Before the DC Knockout event concludes in March 2026, Wonder Woman, Lex Luther, and Joker's showdowns are currently being anticipated. Wonder Woman will be fighting against Marvel's Red Sonja, while Joker is pitted against New Line Cinema's Annabelle.
Lex Luthor, on the other hand, will come face-to-face with the anthropomorphic bear, Samantha Strong, from Beneath the Tress Where Nobody Sees.
In the DC Universe, or in that of The Boys, Superman can prevail if he wishes to. However, for Superman to be the superhero he claims to be, the battle had to end in a draw.
