The recent box-office success might have filled Sydney Sweeney with adrenaline, prompting the actress to climb a cliff to celebrate. Her celebrations, laced with lingerie, however, might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Sydney Sweeney has been working towards a lingerie line release as of late. A promotional tactic she recently assumed was climbing the revered Hollywood sign. Things took a legal turn when her idea of lining it with brassieres did not cut it for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who own the sign.

"Neither you nor the production company have sought or received permission to use the images captured for any commercial use," said the Chamber via email. As per TMZ, Sweeney had obtained permission to film the Hollywood sign courtesy of FilmLA. She and her crew, however, were not exactly allowed to touch or climb it.

Scaling the hill and putting foreign items on the sign could land Sweeney under legal fire for trespassing and vandalism, as per TMZ. The items have been taken off the sign by her and her production company themselves, with a few left behind.

Sweeney has left traces at the Hollywood sign, and her lingerie brand landed her a Jeff Bezos invite.

The Hollywood sign's decoration with brassieres is not the first time Sydney Sweeney's upcoming intimates collection has attracted the limelight. In the summer of 2025, her invitation to Jeff Bezos' wedding was revealed to be for the same purposes, as per US Weekly.

The line, yet to be named, received a $1 billion funding from the venture capital firm, Coatue Innovation Fund. The Jeff Bezos connection arises from the Amazon founder being one of the investors in the firm.

Whether she comes under fire for misuse of the Hollywood sign or not, Sydney Sweeney is taking the risks for her empire. With this, the actress has yet another moment in the limelight under her belt.
