According to Disney, dreams might not come true, but they do become real. With this cinematic promise in mind, Rapunzel has taken yet another step toward her live-action adaptation.
Disney's box office hit Tangled entered the cast hunt phase for a live-action adaptation in December 2025. Come 2026, Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim have been selected for the lead roles, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Teagan Croft, 21, has previously appeared in DC's Teen Titans-based series, Titans. Milo Manheim, on the other hand, has appeared in productions like Journey to Bethlehem, Zombies, School Spirits, and more. He is 24 years old.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, bagging roles in a Disney live-action is guaranteed to branch out into a career flourish. While there might exist some discrepancies, Disney itself has put ample care into this selection.
Tangled's live-action revamp comes with a backup that is equally involved.
Crew of Disney Tangled's live-action
Tangled is said to have garnered $592 million worldwide in 2010. Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim will be stepping into the shoes of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, respectively, who had voiced the animated fairy-tale characters.
Michael Gracey is set to direct this live-action adaptation, while Freakier Friday and Cruella helmer Kristin Burr will be producing. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has written the script for the adaptation.
Tangled is slowly taking its first breaths in the real world. With the leading roles confirmed, the search for Mother Gothel still impends the fairy tale.
