Disney'sTangled, the animated movie, had been noted for its sprawling backdrops. Its live-action, however, might receive a landscape just as alive as any character in the film.
The Brothers Grimm's folk tale of Rapunzel was brought to screens by Disney in 2010. Being brought to actual life this time around, Disney's location scouts are hard at work to match the mystifying constructions seen in Tangled. Spain's Burgos Cathedral seems to have matched the description.
While it is not yet confirmed as a location, the Spanish newslet, Diario de Burgos, revealed it to be a potential contender. Disney's location scouts have visited the site, as well as held meetings with municipal representatives.
Filming at the Cathedral is said to last 3 weeks, as per Diario De Brugos. The Renaissance-style entrance, the Puerta de la Pellejería, seems to have caught the scouts' eye.
The carefully handpicked landscape of the film must match the breathtaking cast that has been appointed so far.
Cast of the live-action Tangled
The adaptation of Disney's Tangled into a live-action film has been set into motion after a year-long pause in December 2024. Since then, the two primary characters, the director and producer, have been confirmed for the film.
For the front row, Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim have been picked to play Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively. The Greatest Showman's Michael Gracey and Cruella's Kristin Burr will direct and produce the film, respectively.
WandaVision actress Kathryn Hahn is said to be in talks for Mother Gothel, according to various outlets. Tangled, the live-action adaptation, is being laid down brick by brick.
