The confirmation comes after Us Weekly reported that the 22-year-old singer and the 24-year-old NHL standout are officially dating and, by all accounts, happily so.

“Tate and Jack are dating,” a source told the outlet.

“They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other.”

The insider added that Jack Hughes initially reached out to Tate McRae via Instagram, sparking a connection that quickly grew.

“She thinks he is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together,” the source added.

They further noted that Tate McRae has been supportive of his career and enjoys attending his games. Their romance may be new, but the timing has only amplified the spotlight surrounding them.
