Taylor Swift is an orchestrator of her own fate, or charts, at this point. Winding up the 'Fate of Ophelia' as well, the artist seems to have days before she climbs down the Spotify charts.

'Fate of Ophelia' has entered a 72-day streak of being the #1 most-streamed song on Spotify. In definition, it is a Shakespearean recitation with Swift's twist of a happy ending.

The track acts as the title to Swift's recently released magnum opus, 'The Life of a Showgirl'. She has left behind big numbers like BTS' Jungkook's 'Seven', and Olivia Rodrigo's 'driver's license'.

The song, however, has a few hundred days yet to overthrow Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With a Smile'. 'Fate of Ophelia' has also made Swift the 10th female with the longest Spotify #1 run.

Swift's Spotify throne listens, but her Billboard reign sells, for weeks, in fact.

Taylor Swift's double-digit weeks on Billboard

'The Life of a Showgirl' was released on October 3, 2025, and has since then proved itself a chart-topper after chart-topper. With Ophelia tackling Spotify, the album sales have propelled it far up Billboard's scale.

Dated December 27, 2025, Taylor Swift's twelfth studio album has reigned #1 for 10 weeks on Billboard 200. The achievement, however, has been non-consecutive, with the album dropping to #3 in its seventh week, as per Billboard.

'The Life of a Showgirl' now has 104,000 equivalent album units earned USA-wide. Backed by the good 'Fate of Ophelia' in her universe, Taylor Swift continues to sit atop the charts.
