For more than a month now, fans have been vigorously manifesting Taylor Swift in the Toy Story franchise, which has now borne fruit. And it was not the fans who initiated this; Swift herself dropped a hint when she accidentally put a Toy Story-themed countdown on her official website on April 30, and she quickly removed it. That slip of the moment was enough for discerning fans to connect the dots and start a discourse about it.

Now that Taylor Swift has confirmed her involvement in Toy Story 5, fans cannot keep calm about it. They are finding joy in the fact that they absolutely called it since the moment the countdown first hit the website. They are celebrating the moment like a victory that her favorite singer finally got to fulfill a childhood dream.

In her announcement, Taylor Swift revealed that ever since she was a 5-year-old girl, she was enchanted by the characters and the world of the movie. She always dreamed of one day writing a song for these characters, and the day has now finally arrived, and she cannot be any happier.  

Apparently, after the countdown slip-up, the makers of the movie and the singer herself tried to avoid disclosing her involvement while dropping breadcrumbs to keep fans interested. The marketing material of Pixar, especially their Instagram account videos, kept subtly hinting at Swift one way or the other. Finally, when the ‘Opalite’ singer put the countdown back on her website, it became almost official.

Now, she has at last come out and announced it, and fans’ reactions are all over the place.

Fans rejoicing at Taylor Swift and Toy Story collaboration

The Swifties are losing it over the Taylor Swift and Toy Story crossover. Most of the reactions have that “called it” vibe as they have been patiently waiting for this official announcement to drop for more than a month. Even after Pixar’s denied the rumors, they stood firm with their belief, and they were right in doing so. Some fans are just overwhelmed with the latest information and cannot wait for the track to drop.

Some of them have just started calling the movie “Tay Story,” honoring her collaboration with the franchise. While some others are too emotional at the prospect of getting a hard-hitting flashback, maybe about Jessie’s life and the song playing in the background.

From the reactions, one can assume how eagerly Swifties are waiting to listen to the magical piece she has prepared for this special movie. The track is scheduled to officially drop on June 5, just a few days from now. Toy Story 5 hits the theater on June 19, and by that time, Swift’s track will already be popular to infinity and beyond.
