The Grammy winning singer added another chapter to her book of Easter Eggs recently through an Instagram update.

Recently, followers noticed that Taylor Swift changed the pinned song on her Instagram profile. The singer replaced 'Opalite', which had previously been featured, with another track from the album titled 'Elizabeth Taylor', confirming it as the third single of 'The Life of a Showgirl'.

The song was released as the the third official single of her album on March 9, 2026 and with the singer pinning the song, for Swifties it means serious business.

The renewed attention on 'Elizabeth Taylor' has also led fans to revisit the real-life inspiration behind the track.

How did Elizabeth Taylor inspire Taylor Swift's song?

The song 'Elizabeth Taylor' draws inspiration from the legendary Hollywood actress whose life often played out in the public eye. Famous for both her celebrated film career and her widely discussed relationships, Elizabeth Taylor became one of the most recognizable figures of classic Hollywood glamor.

In the track, Taylor Swift uses Elizabeth Taylor’s story as a reflection on fame and its effect on personal connections.
