If there is a discipline of chart-topping, Taylor Swift is teaching it. Her spectacles are now not confined to stages, but take up a metaphysical spot on Billboard, with 'The Life of a Showgirl'.

As the year comes to a close, 'The Life of a Showgirl' has completed 11 weeks on the Billboard 200, as of December 2025. While this stands as a feat in itself, it has also marked a consecutive chart-dominance after 'The Tortured Poets Department'.

The back-to-back reign has placed Swift right next to some major historical acts in the music world. Adele, Morgan Wallen, and Whitney Houston are some of the immediately preceding acts that Swift has mirrored today, as per Forbes.

In 1960, the Kingston Trio with 'String Along' and 'Sold Out' were the first to accomplish the feat in history. The record was then followed by the Monkees in 1966 and 1967, according to Forbes.

Taylor Swift's path to back-to-back dominance, however, had been paved early on.

Before 'The Tortured Poets Department' and 'The Life of a Showgirl' could run, two other albums by Taylor Swift had walked the charts. Fresh out of the slammer of debut, Swift had topped the Billboard 200 with no delay.

'Fearless' had held the No. 1 position for 11 weeks in 2008. Her fifth studio album, '1989', followed suit in 2014.

Taylor Swift may be familiar with the charts, but the charts keep getting trodden with the newness of her accomplishments. As Swift follows history makers, 'The Life of a Showgirl' is yet to step down Billboard.
