It turns out that Kanye West is not hostile towards all Taylors. Teyana Taylor, for that matter, had even remained closer than most non-Taylors to the rapper.

Kanye West and Teyana Taylor have a history marked by collaborations and music label affiliations. While West's words and actions in recent years may have strained his image in the eyes of many, Taylor does not count herself in that category.

"I’m not going to abandon him," she said in her Vanity Fair cover story released on January 13. She explained how her differences in views and opinions do not have to end in cold wars, using her relationship with her brothers as an analogy.

"My brothers do s--- that I don’t agree with … I don’t get into none of that," she said in the cover story. Despite being involved in acting rather than music in recent years, Taylor has maintained her ties to the music industry, even with Kanye West.

Teyana Taylor sticking with West is not exactly a surprise.

Kanye West and Teyana Taylor's camaraderie dates back to the early 2010s. This was when Taylor had signed a joint deal with West's, now known to be disavowed, GOOD music.

Taylor had then famously appeared in West's music video for the song 'Fade' in 2016. The intricate choreography had gone on to win the Best Choreography Award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Teyana Taylor's support for Kanye West becomes even more significant after her Golden Globes win for One Battle After Another. Her respect for years of friendships has transcended public opinion and expectations of her.
