Singer Teyana Taylor is looking back at one of the biggest moments of her career after joining Jay-Z. She joined the singer on stage for the finale of his Extra Innings concert series at Yankee Stadium. Taylor’s audio glitches cut her performance short while she sang backup vocals on his landmark 1996 album 'Reasonable Doubt's ‘Can not Knock the Hustle’. Her microphone was fading in and out in some parts of the song. Even though she did not dwell upon it, she did talk about it when she posted it on her Instagram account. 

“The sound & in-ears said "Not today,” But guess what?? The gratitude was louder than any mic could ever be,” she wrote, acknowledging the technical difficulties.  

She also mentioned that it was a career highlight for her. She first thanked the rapper for giving her the honor of appearing in his concert. Then, she explained that being next to one of the best hip hop artists in the world in front of 40,000 people made her feel extremely grateful.

The experience for her was all the more meaningful since she comes from Harlem. Finally, Taylor described this concert as a reminder of the many surprises that her career held for her. She felt that when she was younger, she never could have thought of being on such an incredible stage alongside Jay-Z.
