Hollywood seems to have found the perfect impersonators of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. As the new Beatles brew patiently, a glance at the cast in guise might satiate any impatience in the audience.

British filmmaker Sam Mendes had made known he would be helming a biopic of the musical sensation, The Beatles, in 2024. As of January 2026, The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event has gained momentum with a cemented cast.

On January 29, 2026, in fact, a first look at the cast was scattered around Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in postcard form. They were photographs of Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn in full attire. Respectively, each donned the guises of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison.

Produced by Sony Pictures in close collaboration with The Beatles' self-established Apple Corps, the four-part biopic is said to be a point-of-view unique to each member of the former band. All four parts of the series will release on April 7, 2028.

So far, The Beatles' biopic has promised a somewhat steady rise to its release.

The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event had quickly fallen into place after Sam Mendes' deal with Neal Street Productions in 2024. Initially set to start by mid-2025, Mendes declared he would need more than a year to create all four films.

In January 2026, Paul Mescal revealed the completion of the films to still be far, as per Variety. Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood, and Mia McKenna-Bruce are part of the cast as well.

The Beatles' biopic seems to be reaching for the stature the original band has held across the globe. Two years left until the film series' release, the postcard pictures are one of the first glances of the cinematic reprise.
