Stranger Things has boasted of giving a well-tied ending to all of its characters. Even if not in virtual reality, Eleven was given it as well, one where she had symbolically long, flowing hair.

Contrary to popular belief, Stranger Things' finale did give Eleven a round off fit, something imagined yet grounded. In a glimpse of Mike's vision in the finale, she stands by waterfalls looking content and beautiful as ever.

"I wanted a romantic feel into it," Sarah Hindsgaul, the show's hair designer, told The New York Post. She explained that Eleven's hair in the scene is longer than she was ever shown to have, revealing that, after all, Eleven was still a girl.

"What I have always hoped for Eleven was that she was just going to be able to just be a girl," Hindsgaul told The Post. In contrast to her usual hairstyle, neatly pulled back for battle, it was left loose and flowing for the scene.

The scene in question itself fits just as perfectly with Eleven's hair.

Eleven's ending in Stranger Things

In Hawkins' reality, Eleven had met a quite telling end by staying behind in an imploding Upside Down. Mike Wheeler, however, envisions Eleven spending a happy time somewhere far away as an act of a final goodbye.

Eleven is then shown to be happily standing over a hilltop, gazing down at waterfalls. Here, she dons more laid-back than usual clothing, and her hair is unkempt, long, and teenage-girl-like as well.

As they left every character, the creators of Stranger Things left Eleven just as gracefully. Wherever she resides, it is as human as it can be made for her.
