Ticketmaster Cancels Scalped Harry Styles NYC Tickets, Reissues Them at Original Price

Apr 23, 2026, 1:23 AM CUT

Harry Styles turned his 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden for the Together Together Tour into one of 2026’s most sought-after ticket events the moment he announced it. The frenzy, however, opened a door that should never have been touched, and now a reckoning unfolds. Ticketmaster’s Global President has issued a public statement outlining what went wrong, what the team has done about it, and what eligible fans need to do next.

Ticketmaster has officially canceled thousands of scalped tickets for Harry Styles' Madison Square Garden residency and is reissuing them at original face value. Scalpers had used fake identities and multiple accounts to bypass purchase limits. None of the canceled tickets had been transferred to real fans.

"We caught scalpers using multiple accounts and fake identities to try to get around ticket limits," Saumil Mehta, Ticketmaster’s Global President, addressed this directly on X.

He then added, "We've canceled those tickets, none of which had been transferred to fans, and we are working with the tour to release them back to fans at the original price," making clear this was a targeted, fan-first action.

Getting these reclaimed tickets is not a traditional first-come, first-served rush. Ticketmaster is using a request-based system specifically designed to prevent bots from dominating the sale again. Anyone can submit a request, but priority goes to fans who do not already hold NYC show tickets.

The request window opens Thursday, April 30 at 12:00 PM EDT and closes Friday, May 1, at 5:00 PM EDT. Submitting earlier does not improve chances. Successful applicants will be notified via email by midnight on May 8. Prices, all-in with fees, are 19% at $50, 77% under $95, and 100% under $130.

While fans prepare their ticket requests, Harry Styles himself has been equally busy because 2026 is shaping up to be his most expansive year yet.

Harry Styles 2026 takeover

Harry Styles released his fourth studio album, 'K*** All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,' on March 6, 2026, produced alongside Kid Harpoon. The lead single 'Aperture' charted ahead of the album drop, with the 12-track record blending high-energy disco and atmospheric pop. The Together Together World Tour spans seven global cities: Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Sydney. Its centerpiece is a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden from August 26 to October 31.

Beyond the tour, Styles' music powered one of 2026’s biggest films. Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, earned $577 million worldwide after its release, with 'Sign of the Times' at its core. Sandra Hüller pushed for the track in a key karaoke scene, saying it captured the end-of-the-world mood.

An epic version also anchored the official trailers, making his presence felt long before opening night. With a charting album, a film culturally tied to his music, and now thousands of face-value tickets back in fans' hands, Styles' 2026 is not a comeback. It is a complete takeover.
