Tyler Perry will receive the Innovator Award at the sixth annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, according to Variety. The award is the recognition of his transformation within entertainment genres. The ceremony is scheduled for June 5 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, with Tiffany Haddish hosting and Babyface serving as musical director.

Over a thirty-year career, Perry has established himself as a prolific producer, director, and entrepreneur across film and television.
