It is only fair for the art of wrestling to be dramatized to match its intensity. WWE: Unreal does just that, turning the brawns of the ring into the brains of peak entertainment.

WWE: Unreal returned to Netflix on January 20, 2026. The second season of the show happens to be everything from emotional to curatorial behind its disguise of a documentary. Instead of simply unearthing, this documentary continues to meld together real personas and scripted incidents to draw intrigue.

The second season, just like the first, brings forth brainstorming, writers' room discussions, and wrestling stars practising coreographed matches to play out on stage. This time around, the Road to SummerSlam 2025 backstage is put on display, as per Netflix Tudum.

Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Pat McAfee are featured in WWE: Unreal season 2. Jelly Roll, R-Truth, Iyo Sky, Naomi, Chelsea Green, Penta, and Lyra Valkyria are also appearing in this five-part season, as per Netflix Tudum.

WWE: Unreal is, in fact, everything that wrestling had perhaps vowed to never be.

WWE had already set itself apart with the name change in 2002. World Wrestling Entertainment began a path more catered to pure entertainment and product selling. The 2025 WWE: Unreal has only spun a little further, breaking the illusion called kayfabe, and posing the top wrestlers as actors amid a play.

Season two of the exposive show brings forth the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, while also documenting the workings of John Cena's retirement tour. With the new-age, WWE: Unreal is perhaps an attempt to attract the audience's shifting and shortening attention by the value of curiosity.
