While the trademarks of a movie with Parental Guidance branding its ratings might be restricted to certain ages, there is no restriction on their riches, according to Zootopia 2. Its box office numbers have been roaring louder than any predator after all.

Zootopia 2 has earned $1 billion worldwide in just 17 days since its November 26, 2025, release. This, in turn, has marked it as the fastest PG-rated film to reach that sum.

It now ranks as the third-highest-grossing movie of 2025, trailing slightly behind Disney's Lilo & Stitch and China's Ne Zha 2. This sequel's opening week itself had hauled $556 million globally, as per Forbes, fueled by its strong debut.

Zootopia 2 follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as partners on the Zootopia Police Department. They are tasked with tackling a mysterious case amid city chaos, per usual.

Ginnifer Goodwin has voiced Hopps, while Jason Bateman has voiced Nick Wilde. New additions graced the voice cast as well: Ke Huy Quan as the pit viper, Gary De'Snake, and Patrick Warburton as the new stallion mayor of Zootopia.

If this is not convincing enough, legacy is, and Zootopia's 2016 debut was the ultimate predator-prey plot twist that clawed its way to billions.

Zootopia 2 has cemented Disney Animation's dominance in 2025. Its rapid $1 billion sprint has outpaced predecessors, blending family appeal with broad draw.
